Jumping in the w211 Tank
I am currently in the process of negotiations with a seller for a 2009 E350. I will be joining this group more often. As for my w202 C280, it looks like it will have to be traded in depending on the offer for it.

I thought all w211s are auto? And yes, it is. I will be handling the transmission service. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself. I am also shopping for a Star C3 DAS as I type this.

I'm not hating on 4matic. It is just a noticeable difference in driving between the two. Not to mention the maintenance cost of a 4matic. Couple that with the fact you can't service the front differential baffles and bothers me. Transfer cases chattering when turning and on and on and on. Planet gears going bad ect ect. 2wd's are alot more user/cost friendly. And alot more rare in certain parts of the states. You go to Texas or Florida and you see 2wd's all day, up this way however everything seems to be 4matic. Inclement weather is the primary cause but in my case thats why i have a fwd for the winters
edit: I lied, you can service the front diff, but you have to remove one of the front axles to do so. PITA if you ask me.
