camshaft position sensor
Hi folks, hopefully you can help ...and sorry if this is already on another thread. 03 270cdi w211 now won't start. it had an intermittent hot start issue and computer showing camshaft sensor failure, could some kind soul please let me know its location

I may be mistaken but i think on the top of the transmission bell housing.

part fitted, on top of rocker head. just remove plastic engine cover and its at the back. 10 min job, hopefully cures issue

There's a black plastic over it will need to roll it up to reach the torx. but is a 10min job GL
