I just took delivery of my new E500... so far, I like much better than my w209 clk500 i killed about a year ago (some of you may remember me).

Anyways, I want to hardwire my 8500. Anyone else here DIY this? Is is difficult?

My dealer did the wiring at no charge. Ran wire down pillar and attached to fuse block terminal. Works off ignition system

i was wondering if any of u guys know if one of those radar detector will work in germany?

im sure it would. It detects K, Ka, and X band and detects/jams Laser band. I dont know of any other bands besides these, but you may want to ask around.
