I have the audio 50 system in my w211 E500. I also have and installed the factory Ipod kit from Mercedes. I now see that the audio 50 system does not have the aux-in like the navi head unit but it does have the cd changer below.
I have two questions..
I could care less about the 6 disc cd changer below. Is there any way to fool the changer to hook up the ipod kit?
If I buy a factory Navi unit with the aux in the rear, is it a direct replacement (will it hook right up without any mods) if I do not use the navi?
Thanks!

The answer is yes, it is a direct plug and play with my current radio. I just found one for $60 (including shipping!) on Ebay and grabbed it.. Now I have to find a puck for my BT.
Just out of curiosity has anybody heard of a way to eliminate the 6 disc cd changer (directly below the radio) and trick it to use the ipod like an aux connection? It has to be possible?
I basically want to take the signal that the Audio 50 head unit sends to the CD changer below and re-direct it to the factory Ipod kit.
