I searched on this forum and couldn't find the answer yet.


2005 E55.


Got the famous clicking sound from the sunroof motor. Sunroof jumped off track. Thought it was going to be an easy fix (bought used motor off Ebay) but noticed a broken piece of plastic on the assembly. I removed the glass to get a better look. Has anyone replaced this? If so, how?


Also, how do you clean the sunroof cables with all the metal on them from the gear stripping out to make sure everything operates normally?

I know in the 221 chasis you have to drop the headliner a little bit. Not sure about a 211.

 

Did you figure this out bro I really need help my roof is doing this same exact thing right now does the entire headliner need to come out?
