W211 220 CDI from 2003 need help !!
Hallo, im from Norway and im not best in english...sorry. The point is that i just bought a W211, automatic gear box, with 130k km, two weeks before. The car looks fine inside and outside and the only visible problem when i bought this car was low temperature engine even after long drive.I order and change the thermostat after one week of drive this car without any problem. After i change the thermostat temperature of engine is ok, around 90C. Next day i was driving on long distance and after around 400 km in one roundabout when i reduce the speed almost to 0 my engine was stop...i restart the engine but i notice the orange sign of engine fault in the dash board. Then almost all time this problem. Only when i come from high speed to 0 and mostly when the engine is over 80C, i dont think i notice under 80C this problem. I i drive the car with 80 or 100 KM/H and i change the gear from Drive to Neutral same problem...in rest of the time the engine is poverfull, gear box change fine, i can go easy to 150 km/h. When i start the engine in Parking mode same, no problem, can stay like this for hours...
Of course i have one appointment in MB work shop for tester in end of week but i still wonder if somebody know or have same problem before.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
220cdi did not make it to America and most of members here are from USA, so they shy to respond about engine they don't know.
You have CEL (google if you don't know) and that means the computer has error code.
You have to scan the car with OBD II scanner and having the code will give us some direction what might be the problem.
