Oil leak on top of engine E320 cdi

Oil leak on top of engine E320 cdi
Engine low oil light came on which was unusual. Checked under hood and appears oil is coming out of the top of engine. Any idea what the problem is here? See picture. The black stuff that looks like dirt is the foam strip/cover that has melted. My engine light also recently came on and code is pointing towards faulty glow plug module/controller. Ugh.....

Thanks Kajtek1. That appears be the issue. I talk to local German Repair shop and they seemed to be knowledgeable / familiar with the fuel injector seal issue and said if it is just one seal on the injector then probably around $400 to repair. He also said probably not a bad idea to repair all the seals with 180k miles on the car and the extra labor to do all seals was minimal. Anyone have any comments / experience on doing all the seals or just repair the ones that need it?

You have 2 schools on the issue.
-if it ain't broken, don't fix it
-replace all with stronger washers. I recall one member found something better from BMW, but you'd have to research the option.
