Measuring Engine Oil Level
Turned key to position 1
Scrolled to Temp
Hit reset button 3 times, which brought up Voltage and below was oil quarts, which looked like --,--.
I then turned key to position 2, and it gave me me an oil reading level of 6.5 quarts. Obviously that is 2 quarts lower than where it needs to be. I did my last oil change and I know I put in 8.5 quarts. Not sure why I'm getting this reading. Is there another way to read oil level? I miss the dip stick!

To check oil level, DON't hit the reset button.
Scroll the big buttons to pages with speed, range etc and playing with small buttons -after service remaining next will be oil level check. It takes few seconds to show if it is correct, or how much you should add.
Not extremely accurate per my experience, but has to do

By the way, about 1 - 2 years ago my MB Dealer's Service Department overfilled my E500 that was not noticed until I drove the car at high speed such as 65 - 75 MPH. I received a dash warning notice that the oil was overfilled. I had to return it to the MB Dealer for them to remove some oil. Their mechs were getting lazy and didn't follow the specific specs for my vehicle: 8.5 quarts. I suspect they were putting in 9 quarts.
