Another Exhaust thread
hey guys, I'm 90% of the way on pulling the trigger on a 2004 E320. A close family friend is selling a light blue avantgarde E320 in great condition that he bought new 12 years ago and never drove a lot. I had recent accident in my CLK and things didn't end up the way i wish they had after i got the car back.

Anyway the E class is a direct swap from my CLK (money wise) and i'm looking forward to owning a 4 door for the first time. I'm already putting together a couple mods and figuring out part costs to see if i should pull the trigger. (I've already paid lots of money to make my CLK like new when i bought it a couple years ago).
So today's question:
its got the standard no visible exhaust rear bumper. Obvious thing to do if i want to keep things clean is replace the rear bumper with the 2006+ bumper with exhaust openings. Great. Done. But the exhaust, has anybody installed the tips with the mufflers? are they a direct install? any modifications needed other then cutting and replacing mufflers? I did a search and its all been about installing quads. I'll be getting the standard sport exhaust, not the quads from an AMG (just dont think its right on a 320).

The exhaust hangers should be exactly the same it would just depend on what state you got the new mufflers in. Mostly you'll find them cut right before the mufflers so you'll have to have it welded which shouldn't cost more than $50-75 at your local exhaust shop and the hangers will be the same. I have my old set of sport mufflers off of my 08 sitting in my garage if you want to buy em.

Great just what i wanted to hear about the exhaust hangers! Thanks for the offer, id take you on it but shipping to lebanon would be a problem. Lots of used parts in the country so it'll be easy to find a pair.
