It cannot be too different than the c63 exhaust on my e550. Just chop off the old and weld on the new. You just have to keep in mind that your bumper (like mine was) does not have cutouts for the exhaust tips, and the amg mufflers are quad tips, so you can either 1) swap your rear bumper for an amg-style bumper, 2) keep your existing bumper and cut out holes, or 3) keep your bumper as is and weld the muffler to have it sit below the bumper, I would not suggest this one because you're more than likely going to scratch the tips on steep bumps.

Either your quote is absurdly high, or you purchased your mufflers quite cheap. Are they OEM c63 mufflers with the correct parts numbers? or are they just mufflers with amg style tips welded? You can contact Gary@Suvneer to get an aftermarket E63 amg style rear bumper, I don't remember the price and it's also going to be unpainted.

+1 on what lemon said.
C63 mufflers are rare as they are one of the best sounding mufflers MB made and not a lot of C63 owners chop it and sell it other than wreckers so they can be quite expensive. on the other hand, rear bumper bars are very cheap so something doesnt add up there.

I'm not entire sure what all the quote included, I asked the individual what he would charge for bumper cut outs to fix quad exhaust and he quoted me the number above.

either you can cut it yourself and buy a cf diffuser to cover the imperfections on the cut or get an aftermarket amg rear bumper from gary. id go for the first option of diy cutting and diffuser.
EDIT: Although i replaced my rear bumper bar with an AMG bumper on my old 211, heres a photo of the diffuser im talking about.

Wow, beejamg, your 211 looks absolutely amazing! Mine is in the same color, plan on getting black trunk lip as well. How much does a C/F diffuser cost?
Edit: also, is the install for the diffuser itself fairly easy?

cheers mate, yeah shes was a looker. sometimes i wonder why i let her go. oh well...
the diffuser was really easy and fitted alright (not perfect as its an aftermarket) as it was for an amg bumper but im not sure if it will be a perfect fit for non amg bumpers but you can always try as we just put anti-rust self tapping screw from the inside of the bumper. easier if you the car is on a lifter. just make sure the screw is long enough but not too long to not pierce through the diffuser.
iirc it was around US$300 from ebay. well worth it mate. looks very aggressive.

Sorry to revive this thread but can someone confirm that I would need to cut the rear bumper reinforcement bar to use C63 mufflers w quad tips? I thought it was just a matter of cutting the bumper itself.
