Air Bag recall???
Has anyone received any information from MB on this? 800,000+ plus cars involved. I just this on Car and Driver...
Daimler is recalling some 705,000 Mercedes-Benz cars and 136,000 Daimler vans in the U.S. market because NHTSA has indicated that the vehicles could contain defective Takata-supplied airbags. The Mercedes-Benzes are all from the 2005–2014 model years: SLK, C-class, E-class, M-class, GL-class, R-class, and SLS. The newly recalled vans are 2007–2014 Sprinters with Dodge, Freightliner, or Mercedes badges. (Some 2006–2008 Sprinters had been added to the recall in June 2015.)

My 02' BMW is affected.First it was just for the passenger side. Months later I get a notice that they want to do the driver side as well. It's like driving with a set of bomb's in your dash board and steering wheel.

will my 2003 e class with air suspension be included? have had way too many issues with my bags would love a recall...
edit: just realized this is for actual cabin air bags not air suspension which i refer to as airbags, what a sad day this is..

It seems to be a slowly developing story. MB was first mentioned back in September. The range mentioned is a huge number of cars though. Hopefully they'll get more specific in the weeks, months to come.
