Help with Evosport Kompressor Cooling Upgrade
Hi,
I'm trying to understand the Evosport Kompressor upgrade kit that Evosport supplied for my "new" vehicle.
I bought an E55 and I'm unfamiliar with these kinds of upgrades on AMGs. I have attached photos of the installation that was done (previously posted by someone on this site). My questions are:
1) Is this a stand-alone system or does it replace something?
2) I need to replace the reservoir part of this system, as it is currently leaking oil (what kind)? Power Steering fluid?
3) When engine is on, It doesn't look like the small amount of oil/fluid in the reservoir is being circulated. Does this mean a bad pump? or does the pump not kick on until a certain temperature?
4) If the pump is bad, what pump is the replacement?
5) Before I pull my front apart, can someone tell me how this system works, and how the different lines are integrated in this system?
This car has several performance upgrades, and I really think I need the additional cooling power to avoid frying the motor.
