A/C

My mechanic said the compressor is weak and he could not get any reading codes on the scanner. A/C is not blowing cold air. He wants me to buy a new compressor. Is there such thing that the compressor is weak?

When compressor wears out, it will not deliver the required pressure, so you can call it weak.
I would seek 2nd opinion. MB compressors last very long time.
What is the mileage?

I got it from the junk yard because my original one was working but making grinding sounds.

My question is that the mechanic could read coeds from the compressor, is that possible when it is weak or there might be other issues

Variable output compressors takes some knowledge to troubleshot and the car system has about 8 sensors that affect the output.
For full troubleshooting you need the sensor readouts with cold car engine off and then on hot day when you turn AC on.
I am happy to have clmatronic where I can read the sensors while driving, but for some reason MB deleted the option on standart W211

evac/recharge and inject dye. road test 15 miles or so and check for leaks. Step 1.
