Holy crap. Fletcher Jones made 2nd on the list and they only sold like 5,000 new units. Musta been all S600s or SL55s and stuff. No wonder they don't give young people like me the time of day.

Your dealer did not make $251M. That was gross revenue. Take out the cost of the cars, employees, parts, building, etc. and the number is dramatically less. If they clear 5-10% of that they are doing well. I know the general manager of my dealer and he says they do not make much money on the cars anymore, mostly on service.

If a dealer grossed only $100 million and nets 5% then they still made 5 million. I would say that is alot of money. Maybe not compared to the gross, but i bet less than .25% of the population makes $1 mil a year or more.Originally posted by ethune
