Instrument Cluster Dead
Yes, I did search the forum and did read a few threads.
Everything leads me to believe I need a new or used cluster. However, before I swap, what can I check to be sure this is the issue.
Main battery is actually really new and both this and smaller battery tests just fine. AC works. Lights all work well.
It's a 2005 E55
Couldn't find an answer to what (if any) fuse is related to the cluster?
Other things I can do or check before searching for a new cluster?

I'm not sure what caused the "death" of your IC, but about a year ago, I swapped out my IC with an AMG type. If at any point you think you need to change IC, you may not need to change the whole thing, just do your homework.

Thanks. I was planning on doing exactly the "hard reset" as I found this thread earlier as well. Now imagine my surprise when it all worked normally when I went out to the car yesterday.... And today... Not sure what caused this, but will likely have to keep an eye on it.

Amg can i say .After you do the reset and the problem shows again ,have your alternator charge checked . As these cars will shut down if main power drops down to a cirtain level.
