2009 E320 Transmission Question
Hi, So I found a great 1 owner clean carfax 2009 e-320 bluetec with only 40,000 on it. Super clean. Bought it and noticed the tranny was slow to go to reverse. Went to MB Dealer and reprogrammed. Fixed it. Had Tranny serviced with new fluid, flushed torque convert, lines etc to get all new fluids. Seems to shift from 3 to 4th sometimes slips a little. Mechanic said metal shavings was in pan when he changed the fluid but acted like it was no big deal.
Anyone experience anything like this? What should I do? I thought these trannys are mostly bullet proof?

Depending on shavings may be mechanical however, since shavings seem to be of little concern if no fault codes are present and all software is current, electronic control unit (valve body) “may” need to be cleaned by smart repair – each solenoid valve has a mesh filter beneath it.
