2003 C240
E500 Omg!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short. I own a C240 and it needed to go in for a service B. I got a E500 4matic as a loaner and all I can say is whoa. The car is beautiful inside and out. The pick up on this thing is exhilirating. I can't even image what the new E55 feels like. I never thought getting back into my C240 could be soooo hard, hahahahaha. Congrats to all w211 owners for choosing such a fine auto.

Your dealership gave you a HIGHER model loaner? That is wierd. I have a c320 and seem to only recieve C 240's (if they are available)

But I believe that E has more electronic problems than C does.

Providing owners with a higher model then their car as a loaner is a common practice at a large number of (good/great) dealers. This allows the owner to see what the next model up is like and how much better it is then their current car. By doing this the dealer is hoping for the owner to make a purchase to the next model up.

Just smart business if you ask me!

Turbo2--Great answer (and entirely valid, I believe).

Too bad my Evil (TM) dealership makes me rent from the local Enterprise Rent-a-wreck drones.

I usually end up either in a Focus or Taurus. Suffices to say my maintenance experiences are less than stellar. And this in the Metro DC area. I absolutely HATE this dealership.

I couldn't agree with you more, in the past HBL has been an extremely poor dealership in terms of customer service and every other aspect. However, they have just been purchased by the Penske Automotive Group and changes are going on currently, they are aware of the issues that HBL has had in the past and are attempting to fix them.

In a year or so I feel that HBL will be up to par with ASC and the other area dealerships, or at least lightyears ahead of where they once were.

that would be great!!! i really hope they improve, but i'll believe it when i see it... I gave their service department a try bcs they are so close to where i live and work, but i ended up completely disappointed with them, and i've learned the hard way not to take my car in for anything unless its really a severe problem, bcs most of the time, for the little things, they'll just end up making the problem worse...

Guys!! You have got to be kidding me! ASC is the most evil dealership on Earth. I find HBL to be only marginally better. Trust me, this is after tons of sales/post-sales/nav fiasco/service experiences.

Yes, can you tell my dealership is ASC (Alexandria).
