Probably will cost less than deductible and then you have claim on your record, what with increased premium can cost you multi-fold the cost of repair.
Where I live, east of San Francisco we do have lot of deer jumping the freeway fences and feeding on green belt on the side of the freeway..... they must be trained as they don't enter the freeway and very seldom I see them killed.
Than years ago I hit deer in Montana while driving pickup at 60 mph.
The 150lb steel bumper sacrificed itself to protect radiator, AC and transmission coolers.
Would really suck to get stranded Saturday 10 PM and 1000 miles from home.
Get it fixed and get on your life.

MB dealership here in Wichita Falls estimate was $1,834.51.

So I paid my $500 deductible to State Farm and they picked up the rest. Spoke to them about whether or not premium will go up... nope!

Hell back in 2010 I was in a 6-month old Chrysler 300 SRT8 and had a Oklahoma Highway Patrol office side swipe my right front. (he was hauling *** and didn't stop at HIS stop sign, and I still got a ticket from the lieutenant for "failure to yield"... LOL)

I was with Amica then. The lieutenant that worked the accident deemed it my fault of course. Thought for sure my premium was going to go up, but it didn't! Amica was probably the best insurance company I've had ever for autos.

Had to switch though shortly after because they had to pay some large amounts out in claims after the 2012-2013 tornadoes down here in Texas & OK, which then they raised their premiums on just about everything.

The insurance is very tricky bussines and I can only compare it to international airfares.
On my house insurance years ago I opened a claim when near by creek flooded my lower room. They declined the coverage as I did not have flood insurance.
Couple years later I had another incident and I just call them about chances for coverage. They informed me the chances are slim, so I never proceed. Few months later when my policy was for renewal they declined the coverage as phone call was consider a claim.
Such procedure goes on public record and if you have not heard about multi-thousand insurance proposals - try one.
Insurance is not a charity. If they don't make clear premium increase after 1st accident, try to claim another one.
