Coolent tube seals under intake
I have a 2006 e350 4matic. Been chasing oil leaks since I got it. Have done the rear main seal and the oil tank on the back of the block. Now it's been puking oil again. Mechanic thought it was the rear main seal again. After further diagnosis he found it was the coolent tube seals under the intake. He won't touch it because it would need to be recalibrated at the Benz dealer any how. Anyone else have any experience with this?

I am not entirely sure what he meant by it needs to be recalibrated by Benz. My mechanic just mentioned that only the Mercedes dealer had access to the computers they would need to complete the job

nothing stated above needs a computer to diagnose or fix.
not sure where your mech is leading you to but i would steer away as a oil leak is simply to diagnose, clean engine, drive a couple hundred miles, re-check. BAM! GL!
