2006 E55 HVAC Problem

Hello,

I'm having an odd problem with my climate control working properly on my car, intermittently.

The heat works, the AC works, the blower makes a bunch of noise, but no air comes through any vents. The only reason I know the heat and AC work is because I feel the slightest bit of air out of the vents. It seems that the piece that directs air (Proper name?) isn't working properly.

What would be my first step? I have done no diagnosis other than turn the car off, and on again, and experiment with a few different temperature and position settings.

I was able to get a LITTLE bit out of it, but not much.

The car has 45,000 miles on it. 2006 E55

Thank you for any insight.

Is the big flow coming out defrost vents?
That would mean you flap system is in default mode.
Check vacuum hoses under the hood

That's what I was thinking as well. But it doesn't blow any more from the defrost vents as it does the regular vents. also, all of yesterday it was fine. I'm thinking maybe I had it set for too cold for too long? 3.5 hour car ride to Long Island.

What is the blower indicator showing?
Try to play adjusting the speed from min to max and see what difference it makes.
MB blower motors are usually bulletproof, but resistors are weak point.
