Hi,
I have a 2006 E320 CDI and I have the MB roof rack rails for it. It used to be easy to mount / dismount them as needed, but I somehow managed to break a screw off in the front left mount point. The way the screw broke is that the top of the broken screw is crooked such that I couldn't get a tap started. I brought it to a mechanic who tried various removal methods and he had no luck either.
I'm told it's fairly easy to replace the mount point, but I have to remove the headliner.
Can anyone point me to instructions to remove / replace this roof rack mount point?
Much appreciated...

I'd start with a dremel tool on the broken screw to make a smooth, flat surface then drill/heat/lube/ez out.
