Max cool ac control
It was 53 deg C here today. This caused me to wonder if anyone knows how to engage max cool on 2006 e500 or if I can change my climate control module to one more useful here.

I had climatronic that had "Max AC" button on it, but replaced it with one that has REC button and full LCD.
If you really want, I can resell you my old one for affordable price?

Yeah doing that. I just get tired of hitting the lower button a hundred times to change from 70 to low when there's an option to press one button. Another problem is my display is dim (I think a sensor or wire issue) and that just sometimes compounds the issue.

About the dim display...it's a topic beaten to death, but there has been no definite solution?
Mine is so dim, I cannot read it in the day, lights on or not, makes very little difference, if any...?
Even at night, it is sometimes nice and bright, sometimes, dull.
