Greetings,

I've recently purchased an 04 e55 and have enjoyed every second. I opened the roof and noticed the spring that holds the wind deflector up sitting loose inside the track of the pano roof on the drivers side.

I looked on the passenger side and noticed the cover over the spring was also missing on the drivers side along with the plastic (square?) piece that holds/locks the spring into place. I tried searching with little luck. Does anyone know how to get these two pieces, what their part number is or better yet have them so I can prevent a trip to the dealer?

Hey out of money----the parts are a dealer item and they are cheap----do as you suggested call or visit any dealer, however you may want to stop at Ace hardware they have all sorts of springs for gates, dogs and fences!!

Much appreciated. I have the spring, just need the cover to go over it and the clip that holds the spring in place.

MB does not offer linkage parts separately you will need to find a sacrificial part, or replace linkage.

Thanks! Not as worried about the cover as I am the clip that holds the spring. Am I in the same boat for that too?
