A/C compressor problem
Hello,
I have a problem with my air conditioning on my e220 cdi 2002 ( w211 ) for some days the button " A / C Off" was blinking red when I turn on the air conditioning but it was empty of gas.
today, I flled it by gas but when I turn on the Air conditionner the lamp is normal but the compressor does not start, I tried to turn it on with a wire directly from a positive source and the a/c compressor worked normal operation . What is the problem????

What you mean the compressor does not start?
Those compressors do not have clutch, so they run all the time, although sounds like you have non-US model that might have different options.
Did you measure refrigerant pressure during recharge? What was it?

Algeria.. my father was working there few years and I spend couple of vacations in Oran area. .. years ago. Remember friendly people, but don't bother them during Ramadan
With 211 you might, or might not have several choices how to "attack" the troubleshooting.
1. if you have climatronic with REST button, you can use it for reading sensors and troubleshooting.
2. you can use SD computer to do the readout in lack of advanced climatronic
3. measuring at least low side pressure will say if the R134 is at proper level.
