Rattle
How's it going guys hope everyone's doing great as well as your E's, so I have a Rattle on the front left drivers side wheel ,when I go over a bump at city speed but no noise at freeway speeds , I have had her checked at the dealer for this noise and everything checks out perfect I took it to my independent mechanic whom I must say is one of the best (Marlow Mercedes) and they concluded the same thing the only thing that they could possibly think off would be a failed shock, so I'm wondering would a bad shock cause a Rattle, would appreciate feed back not to crazy about the added feature or maracas rattling around haha

Chasing small rattle in suspension can be a nightmare.
The fist suspect is always sway bar links. If they are questionable - replace them as they are cheap.
On our 4M about 3 weeks of troubleshooting found front control arm bushing bad.
It is hydro bushing that should flex when new, so how you judge when it flex too much?
In our case it flexed enough that at freeway speed it would synchronize with wheel rotation and rattle the metal sleeve against the housing.
Good luck tracing your rattler.

Bad shock will give you boat feeling, but not rattle.
Bad shock mount would give you both, but that is easy to see.
Start with pushing fender down and trying to replicate the noise.
If that brings no result, put wrench on the wheel lug and try to move the wheel back and forth.

A bad shock will cause a rattle noise at low speed and small bumps , my 2009 e 350 was rattling I checked all of suspension bolts everthing was tight , when driving at about 20 25mph a rattle noise was apparent, replaced rf shock and , noise gone shock was about 275dollars ps I work at mbz dealer have seen this about 3 times in the last year c class and 211 e class and glk 350
