EPC list two main battery part numbers for my car, it list 0005 541 10 01 that is a 95 amp per hour battery, and 000 982 33 08 that is a 100 amp per hour battery.

The 95AH cost approx $228, but the 100AH id only $167 listed by dealer, does anyone have experience with either and can share which one is the best to buy.

You'll probably find the 100Ah is wet cell lead acid battery and the 95Ah is a AGM battery.

AGM is recommended for the 211's charging system, lead acid may fail early due to not being compatable.

Our 2004 model was originally equipped with flooded battery and replacement is the same.
Newly purchased 2008 model come with flooded battery as well. Not sure what factory put in it.
AGM batteries were design with certain purpose in mind, what purpose doesn't exist in luxury automobiles.
Since they seem to last shorter than flooded and cost way more, they make pure waste of money.

My 2003 euro spec was fitted with AGM battery's, the battery in the bulkhead was also AGM and original and only got replaced last month, whether us spec cars are different I don't know, but AGM battery's are better for high voltage charging systems as they can withstand it better than a wet cell battery.

The battery in my Mondeo diesel was a AGM battery because of its smart charge system and that was original iirc and over 10 years old and still going strong, a Mondeo is the equivalent to a Taurus if you don't have mondeos in the states.

Facelift iirc don't have SBC units and this is when the removed AGM batteries, there is other talk on the net of euro spec cars dropping AGM at late 2005 which would coincide with facelifting of the model.

My AGM battery is still the original in my 2008. Some people seem to think that because they got lucky and their flood battery lasted for 15 years, that they last longer than AGM, but most people who buy flooded batteries have them last 4-6 years, longest I had one last was 8 years.

I just replaced the auxiliary battery, I plan on sticking with the 95aH AGM battery for the primary battery.

My AC acts weird, it never gets an evaporate temp less that 10c, and it will just shut off suddenly and then go up to 30c or more before it comes back on. When I check Star it will show Stage 1 and stage 2 convenience shut off.
