05 E320 climate control to cold

Any guesses why the temp in my 2005 E320 CDI might be too cold. I've been driving with the settings at 80 and now 82F but am afraid the cabin temp sensor or controller is losing its mind. I don't have a thermometer in the car so I don't know what it goes to when set at 82F but I seriously doubt 82F as I'm not perspiring.

Thanks,
Peter

I guess you have climatronic without "REST" button to read the sensors?
In such case you can read the sensors with SD for full troubleshooting.
The system has about 9 sensors affecting the work, so crystal ball is coming with low-efficency.

How do you read the nine climate control sensors with SD?

It still doesn't control very well and I leave the temp set point at 80 to maintain a reasonable air temp.

thanks,
Peter

I find leaving it set at 80 when it's cold out is quite comfortable.

Sounds like the infamous changeover valve has failed?

I thought the changeover valve was only for the rear seat heating? does it affect the front seats?

Peter
it’s more noticeable in the rear seats and rear pillars.

I changed the valve a couple of weeks ago and I can tell the difference in the front.
