Coil over conversion, stuck and looking for help
We are working on my son's 2006 E500. We are replacing the air ride with BC coilovers. The fronts were a piece of cake.
For the rears, I have done a bunch of research but having trouble. I have most of the bolts removed, but there is still tension pulling the whole assembly up (if that makes sense). We have the rear tension rod bolt removed (the arm on top, closest to the rear bumper, 10mm allen and 18mm nut), the lower shock bolt, bolt holding in the air ride bag and the main nut/bolt for the lower control arm, closest to the brakes (12mm allen bolt)
Should we remove the bolt nearest to the middle of the car for the lower control arm?
And yes, we have e320 lower control arms to replace the e500 air ride arms.
Please advise, TIA. Mike
