2009 Mercedes E350 engine off whistle noise near steering fluid reservoir
Our 2009 E350 has a strange 2 second noise that repeats about every 20 - 30 seconds when the car is off. It has a whistling type tone, but almost sounds like a motor turning on and then off.
It seems to be coming from behind the power steering fluid reservoir.
What might be in this area that causes this noise and why would it cycle on and off continually?
