Inside your trunk on the driver's side rear quarter, is your interior carpet panel full from front to rear, or does it curve into the quarter panel and give you more trunk space toward the rear tail lamp???? This is the area where the second fuse panel is. Mine goes solid from front to rear of the trunk, yet I have seen some that curve immediately after the fuse panel and give more truck space. Does anyone know why this is????? Thank as always.

Next to the rear SAM mosule (fusebox) is the location were an aluminum bracket might sit...this bracket is for the control modules for the following features:
- TV tuner
- DVD navigation unit
- parktronic unit
- active seats
so with any of these options installed in the car - the bracket will be there and the trunkspace will be less.

I had seen this picture
on Yahoo before but I hadn't noticed the difference from my E500. Mine lacks the optional goodies that take up the left-rear corner of the trunk, but at least I'm somewhat compensated for being options-deprived by having a little extra trunk space. That, and fewer things to go wrong
