2006 e350 with 150k on it. Took it to the dealer and they gave me quote for $3500 to fix the issue. I also went to a German independent shop and I got a quote for $1500.

I did some research online and turns out is the intake manifold that needs to be replaced. The actuator bracket arm is broken. I also double checked myself and it is busted. Now I am very familiar on working on cars but when I scanned the computer with my GENERIC. Obd2 scanner it gave me a p0017 and p0016 code for camshaft sensor.


My question is could the camshaft code be related to the actuator bracket being broken or is something else?
