New to the forums and new owner of a benz
Sorry I posted yesterday under a different name but had to change it. Any way I wrote yesterday about how I just brought my first benz 05 E500 4matic. Magnificent vehicle and very comfortable ride. I am looking to do little upgrades here and there. I'm also in the market for a OBD2 scanner, I do have srs light on and would like to clear the code and figure out why it's on. I also do my own service work so would like to be able to clear these annoying messages asking me "main inspection performed on time?" And the other one that is telling me
that service E is exceeded lol and if anyone has any info about clearing the message SOS TELE AID MALFUCTION.
But as I said I'm very happy with the car and look forward to talking with other MB owners and learning alot more. Thanks.

Yes I have seen that video and have tried doing that but says can not confirm. So not really sure why or how to confirm when it keeps telling me can not confirm.

I have 2 of W211 cars from 2004 and 2008 and they have totally different procedure for FSS reset or accessing the hidden menu.
Read the manual for correct procedure and if you don't have manual, MBUSA allows pdf download.
If you have android, buy bluetooth adapter for scanning and car monitoring. I paid $12 and added $5 for prof torque app.
Cheap scanner will not let you access airbags codes and for that you will need SD.
The most common problem is broken wire on passenger seat sensor.
Do continuity test or just bypass the wires with flexible ones. Once wire is fixed, the light will go off without SD
