W211 Self Levelling Headlight problems
Hi All,
Need some help. I have an 04 E270. At night when I drive my highlights move up and down on every bump on the road. When at the low point I can only see 4 to 5 meters in front of me, but when they move up they are pointing up into the sky. My mechanic looking at the car and checked the leveling sensors but no issues where found when he hooked it up and done a diagnostic. He also check the arms on the sensors and all are fine. Is there something else I can check before biting the bullet and taking the car to a main dealer.

not sure what kind of diag equipment he has but unless it's DAS/Xentry good luck. Alot of times things like this controlled via a control unit have software issues. Could be a software issue or mechanical defect. Only star wiring/DAS will help with symptoms like these. Find a indy with that diag equipment would be my suggestion....

Thanks CMRIV. So I managed to get the issues resolved. It turned out that the headlights were not calibrated to position 0. This is why the headlights were moving up and down.
