Cool New dash display message...

Cars almost a year old 11 months 8K miles (with no problems I might add) and every once in a while I notice something new. Yesterday helped a friend move some items, a big picture, microwave and a plant. I put down the rear seats so I would not get the leather dirty. After work (items have been unloaded) I get in the car and start it and the display reads "Right rear passenger backrest not locked" I could not believe it, get out give it a push and it clicks back in place. I thought that was worth while, especially for anybody that may have a child seat. Does anybody know how many messages it will display?????..

That is pretty cool. I know that it tracks most of the exterior lights and will tell you if one is out. When you are running low on fuel it is pretty obvious, since a large icon of a gas pump appears in the display, which I like.

Im thinking "Here we go... It then says "Low Washer Fluid"

yeah, i cant believe how much electronics are in the car. i spent an hour the other day trying to look for the oil dipstick. I opened up the engine plastic cover, looked EVERYWHERE (besides the manual of course!)

Who knew that the display would tell you the actual oil level and exactly how much to add if you need it...

The car continues to amaze me.

I scrolled through all of the menus and could not find a way to check oil level..How is this accomplished?

Select the external temp in the centre of speedometer. With the ignition on and the engine off, step through the digital speedo. Check Engine Oil Level should be the next menu option thereafter.
