Should the headlights have gaskets around them?

Couple pictures attached. I noticed that neither my driver/passenger headlight have these... Should I take of the plastic piece and purchase the actual gasket pictured that came with the one headlight? Is this something that the factory bi-xenon came with and the halogens didn't or some years did/did not? I can't imagine why it would not be used but looking on ebay I see some newer lights that have the brackets and others come with the gasket??
EDIT: Browsing around I found part numbers:

Thanks,

And doesn't look to fit a 2007 E63. Although when I do a google image search elsewhere it comes up as the part that seals the headlight.

My 2007 E63 has the gasket on the passenger light and no gasket on the driver's.. I plan on taking the lenses off this spring and putting new lens covers on and now I have to get the driver's gasket/seal.
It definitely has (needs) one.

When you click to buy from that site it takes you right to a Russian site, while I've purchased a ton for my G55 from Latvia, would love to try to get this local so shipping doesn't take forever.
May call a dealer tomorrow to see what my options are.
Thanks man!

And if the dealer can't help you, I have a left side seal. Doesn't go on my E350.
