Diesel filter hose part number and pressure rating
i have a 2009 e320 cdi or bluetec. There are 7.5 mm long hose and short 90 degree 9.5 mm hose. What are the part numbers and pressure rating? I need to replace the short 9.5 mm angled hose.

i think the actual size may be 9.3 mm on the angled hose. The thinner one looks as if it takes a few tight bends and is about 2 ft long. Working Pressure rating should be?
Are the an tubing slice to have in the car for emergency repairs?
Have a most Merry Christmas?

The two right angle hose numbers are as follows
the longer=642 078 12 81
the shorter=642 078 13 81
however because I am having difficulties making a pdf I strongly suggest that you confirm with an MB parts person.
PS:I have NFI what the pressure rating is--who cares it's an MB speced part

Thanks Plutoe
The longer hose 642 078 12 81 is the 9.3 mm and goes to the filter.
The other hose 642 078 13 81 goes underneath the car and will not fit between the filter and other fitting.
There are Conti FI hoses that will bend to 0.9 inch radius, but only goes up to 100 psi working pressure. I think the working pressure is 70 to 80 psi, but not sure. If the regulator fails, what will be the maximum pressure of the electric pump? I think the Mercedes hose is at least 140 psi (of the tube before factory bent).
The thinner line (6420700281, possible 7.5 mm id) will be a bear to replace. Looks like the inter-cooler pipe will need to be removed. I was hoping for a splice if in a pinch or the other this hose is hard to get and replace.

Mine started leaking and the diesel fuel stunk up my garage. I went to Pelican parts or the the dealer and replaced both the hoses and the hose clamps. BTW, it takes a special hose clamp plier to clip them. These are the hoses to and from the fuel filter.
Now everything is fine and there is no stink.

These clamps are well worth checking into for the filter end:

I'm not sure what is meant by inter cooler pipe. When I replaced the hoses, I also replaced the hose clamps. These are very specialized and only work for a microscopically small range of hose diameters (e.g. Diameter 9.2mm to 9.6mm). These came from the dealer. As I recall, The hoses were about 300mm long and had several bends molded into them and a plastic cloth sheath.
With the special clamp pliers, I removed the clamps and then pulled the old hoses off. I put clamps on the hoses and pushed the new hoses on. Then with everything in place, I used the special pliers to clip the hoses.
I hope this helps,
Peter
