You need a wiring diagram and some back probes/test pins. Since you don't want to purchase a new part you need to back probe whatever pin on the ESP/BAS module connector is for whatever wheel speed sensor you aren't picking up..... if you aren't getting any readings out of that pin then the used control unit isn't transmitting data.
get a printout of the short test the dealership scanned with DAS/Xentry.....
my thoughts, buy a brand new module. Don't be buying used safety items like abs/esp/bas....
Mine has all ABS, EPS, BAS issues plus the red warnings, locked into park, brake lining wear, brake check, etc..
the first time I let it still for a couple of hours then turned it on and worked fine, now it happened again and I want to fix everything so it doesnt happen again. Already ordered the brake light switch just in case

well what are the actual values in SCM? Any freeze frame data? I would be parts warrantying a new SAS before i shotgun a 2100 dollar esp module.
on another note, not sure if it applies to the 211 but there was a LI document for SAS/Clockspring wiring harness defects. You don't have a srs light on though and i think that is what the document refers too.

I have a 2005 E320 4matic wagon which has a brand new dealer installed SBC (last spring) and it's getting a rear left ABS sensor error. The sensor has been replaced with no improvement.
