Have had this 09 e350 for 4 days when the Comand started shutting off on its own and then restarting. Called the dealer and am waiting to hear back but any ideas on what could be causing this? I'm a little concerned that they wont know what to do since its a bmw dealership, although they do own a mercedes dealership about 30 miles away.

When it first started last night, it would come back on for about a minute and then restart. Now it comes back on and doesnt get oast the Comand screen before restarting. Hopefully this is a fixable issue.

Update: the bmw dealer could not diagnose the problem (surprise!) so they took it to a nearby mercedes dealer and they believe it is a bad audio gateway. Just waiting now on them to get the part in and hoping it fixes the problem.
