Upper Control arms or just the ball joints?

Upper Control arms or just the ball joints?
I'm getting a clunk on breaking been diagnosed as upper controls arms\joints and recommendation on whether I should just replace the upper ball joint or the complete arm?

Clunk most likely is the ball joint itself. If you car has the updated arm that allows just the ball joint to be replaced (3 torx screws hold it to the arm), then go for it. But if you have the model where the ball joint is not replaceable, then you will have to buy the complete upper arm with the integrated ball joint.
If your car has the newer style upper arm, then just replace the ball joint. It is a relatively easy process, given you have the right tools.
