I have a steering wheel and airbag from a 2007-09 W211 which looks different than the steering wheel and airbag on my 2006 E320 CDI. Has anyone had any luck using the newer wheel and airbag on an older E320 by using a different clock spring and possibly modifying any software needed to avoid a SRS issue?
The newer airbag has the single connector in the back middle where the older airbag has the two green and yellow connections on the back.
