My E500 must have mind of its own.
I can't change the time using the SVC->time button,
It will allow me only to change the hour, and minutes (in 30 minute increment). I hit okay and nothing happens.

Hey krispy....
Its spelled out for you on page 144 in the Operators manual. There it will show you how to change the hours, minutes, day of week and year.... Its all done on your steering wheel, Then push the reset button for two seconds to "confirm" on the left side of dash next to the clock.

In the end I let my son have a go, and he annoyingly just played with the COMAND soft buttons and practically went straight to it. Grrrrrr (If all else fails, then read the manual)
I am surprised you have that option available, as well as being able to change it on the COMAND????
