I actually got the "clock" info in the Operators manual and NOT the command manual, so don't beat yourself up too badly..... Page #420 in the index references you to page #144 on how to set the clock.....

My E500 must have mind of its own.

I can't change the time using the SVC->time button,

It will allow me only to change the hour, and minutes (in 30 minute increment). I hit okay and nothing happens.

I can't change the date either.

Hey krispy....
Its spelled out for you on page 144 in the Operators manual. There it will show you how to change the hours, minutes, day of week and year.... Its all done on your steering wheel, Then push the reset button for two seconds to "confirm" on the left side of dash next to the clock.

Interesting that UK manuals only have a two page time zone The reference you quite rightly refer to is on page 146. BUT (what a big word that is) But, unfortunately that option is NOT available when the vehicle has DVD COMAND. We spent 'hours' (slight exaggaration) going through the different settings desperately trying to find the 'Time\Date sub menu.

In the end I let my son have a go, and he annoyingly just played with the COMAND soft buttons and practically went straight to it. Grrrrrr (If all else fails, then read the manual)

I am surprised you have that option available, as well as being able to change it on the COMAND????

Thanks for the info.

John

On page #149 in your Command Operators Manual it clearly states... "There is no automatic change from day-light savings time to standard time. This has to be changed manually."

Thanks, same as mine.

Some members describe how they can alter theres through the steering wheel 'Functions' as described in the main Owners Manual.

John
