As an aside to your points. You will not be able to have a 320CDI 4-matic.
It MIGHT become an option WHEN the new V6 320CDI is fitted into the E-class.

I understand that it's not available in a 4Matic. That's why I asked. Do you go for the MPG and take your chances in the snow or not? I have to beleive that with 4 snow tires and electronic intervention, you should be OK, no??

It won't be to long until you can go with diesel power.
I don't know if your dealer told you why the 4-matic is not available, but in case he never. It is because of the length of the straight six engine.
