I have an 08 E350 wagon with 110K mikes. I was pulling out of a parking spot and drove about 100 feet and the engine died. There was a battery warning light that flashed on but then went out. The engine would not crank after that. The battery is new and very strong. My mechanic can't get a code from the onboard computer. Has anyone experienced this?

Find a mechanic who has a copy of Star and knows the charging system!---In the interim what happens when you apply 12v directly to the starter??
