Coolant life

What is the expected change interval for coolant on 2009 e320 bluetec?
I heard that the extend life is due in part by an anti-oxidant puck in the reservoir. What are the part numbers for the coolant and puck?

Read the manual.
It should be 15 years and chem pack comes as part of overfill reservoir.
Still few years to go.

You can review your owners manual for the correct change info---regarding coolant you can use MB's EPC or search the stickies for millions of posts on speced OEM and aftermarket coolants or simply go to the yellow pages and locate a dealer and call the parts department or you can go to any auto store and look for coolant that has a "G" in the title and has a yellow tint with an MB approval spec number on the back of the container.

IIRC the new MB coolant is a dark blue.

I would assume all real Mercedes owners know that.
The "new" is about 6 years.

The fluid is dark blue. So the whole reservoir and coolant need replacing after 15 years or a coolant leak? By another 7 years the prices should come down.
Thanks at all respondents

My year 2008 manual does not actually say anything about reservoir replacement:

"US Service 8 at every 150,000 miles or 15 years
Replace coolant
"

(Footnote says: "Service 8 at 150,000 miles or 10 years")

Anyone here who knows if service 8 includes reservoir replacement?

PS. The OEM reservoir price is $52.25 at online store, so it's not so bad if it had to be replaced every 10 or 15 years!

I had my service eight because of mileage, not time. They replaced my coolant, but I am not aware that I got a new reservoir.
