add manual mode to 722.6

hi all, i am thinking of swapping my steering wheel out for one out of an AMG.

i have seen a write up for wiring in a transmitter and receiver to the gear selector, but was wondering if there is another way.

i have searched the forums and can find info for the facelifted w211s but nothing for my year (04 e500)

also what would it take to the manual mode. i have seen some shift switches on ebay out of the amgs that have the c/s/m but i dont know if i need that as it may just be a coding thing and not a module.

i had contacted a member about doing a wheel with different paddles and maybe a flat bottom but they said they could not help me .....

so i plead to you good people
