Hi everyone, this is my first post here ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have problem with backlight of the dashboard as the same as this guy in this video:
There are only a few areas where light is working, just like in the video.
I checked fuses and they're all fine...
I tried to spin dimmer back and forward many times, pushing, pulling, everything![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Does someone had similar problem and maybe knows the solution?
Thanks!

Pull IC, carefully open and check internals – ribbon cable, board, etc.

Snap. I’ve the same problem now. Did anyone figure out how to fix this?
i was away for 2 weeks. On return I noticed the clock had stopped but once I restarted the car it reset itself. Possibly related as it was then that I I noticed the dash no longer illuminated

i just came out this morning to see my clock had somehow lost 9 hours. i didn't notice until 2 hours ago that my backlights on the dials was not illuminating. i took out the cluster, looked at it, took it apart some to determine that dials are lit by LEDs on the backplane. tested the diode function of the LEDs. they still work. put the thing back in to measure the voltage at LEDs. nothing worked at all!! i freaked for a few mins. i disconnected battery, took out fuses 41 and 42. put it all back together. Backlights now work. not sure what's going on. interestingly and probably unrelated, is that my steering wheel to head unit (it's a pioneer) interface no longer works. i shall deal with that on another day (i ordered one from crutchfield in the case that one i have is just junk.)
