A/C stopped working. Please help
Hello all experienced owners of W211. Looking for help with my AC issue.
Couple of month back it started to act, by not turning on after few hours parked outside. It would go on eventually after few minutes of driving (freeway mostly) or if the car is stopped, engine off and started again after a few minutes.
Last two weeks it completely died on me. I brought it to a local shop and mechanic checked the system and its fully charged with freon. He stated it looks like AC needs a new compressor, but would need to do a 2 hours diagnostic of it first to be certain.
Anyone had this issue? any input is greatly appreciated.

This is the best self-help site I know.
If you have climatronic with REST button and LCD it is very easy, if not, you will need computer to read the sensors and post them here for interpretation.
