Check your VIN's service history to see if the SBC pump has been replaced.
Also be wary of the smell of gasoline after filling up - there's a service recall on faulty leaking fuel tanks that's good for 15 years from the date of manufacture.
Then there's the Valeo radiator issue where a seal fails and coolant leaks into the tranny.
