Replaced front shocks, car is too high

Hey everyone,

I have an 08 E350 Avantgarde with the sport package. Recently I had both front shocks replaced due to wear and what we eventually found out was they were the wrong part number.

I bought new Sachs shocks and confirmed the part numbers with the MB dealership and ZF using the VIN:
MB Part: 211-323-92-00
Sachs Equivalent Part: 312 564

Since the original shocks were not correct, I do not have an accurate original measurement to work with. When the new correct (adjustable) shocks were installed, the front rides really high (about 2-3 inches from what would look normal). I can take pictures if needed.

Does anyone have the measurement of what the spring perch on the shock should be or have any pictures of it?

Thank you in advance!

Sachs 312564 is for MB part: 211-323-9300

I have 07 with sport package code 954.
MB part: 211-323-9200 AND NOT 211-323-9300

Sorry for the confusion. You're correct, the MB part number is correct and that was the part that was ordered and installed. The Sachs part number I listed is incorrect. By any chance do you know the height or notch it should be at?

Thank you, but I'm trying to find out how high/low the spring seat on the shock should be. The shocks I got are adjustable and do not have a "default" ride height.

I just thought of something though, would it be possible to measure the spring seat height on the rear and compare it to the front, then adjust it accordingly? Since the front and rear are supposed to ride at the same height, this should technically work right?
