Knock Sensors

Maybe the Quality Engineer in me is coming out, but:
If these parts rarely fail, I think it is safer to leave in a set of 10 year/140K miles "pretested" sensors, rather than risk an "Early Life Failure" of an untested new part.
On the other hand, if these are parts many people have found to fail sometime prior to 200K miles and 15 years, it is probably worth changing them out as if they are "wear parts".
Thoughts?

In general, unless a part has a history of failure, I trust "time tested" over risking an "early life failure".
